BABA GHANNOUJ (APPETIZER WITH EGGPLANT)

6 aubergines 

2 lemons, squeezed for juice 

2 tablespoons of tahini 

sodium chloride 

3 cloves of garlic 

1/4 cup freshly chopped parsley

Appetizer Recipe DIRECTIONS 

Cook whole eggplants on all sides, turning as needed until they're soft all the way through and the skin is burnt. Allow to cool for 1 hour. Remove the skin from the eggplants and throw it away. In a bowl, combine tahini and lemon juice. Combine thoroughly. Season with salt according to your preference. 

Dice the garlic cloves finely and mix them into the mashed eggplant. Mix thoroughly and refrigerate.

Italian Cheese Pull Apart Bread - prepare this simple side dish on any evening of the week. Pop open a can of biscuits, mix with butter, spices, cheese and bake!

1 can of buttermilk biscuits 

5 Tbls of melted butter 

2 teaspoons of Gourmet Garden Italian Spice Mix 

1 teaspoon of Gourmet Garden Garlic 

1 1/2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese

CHEDDAR AND HERB SCONES 

INGREDIENTS 

2 cups all-purpose flour 

1 tablespoon of baking powder 

1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder 

1/2 teaspoon of salt 

2 tablespoons of fat 

3 tablespoons of cold butter 

1 cup of buttermilk 

1 1/4 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese 

GUIDELINES 

Heat the oven to 425 degrees. In a medium-sized bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt. Blend in shortening and butter until rough crumbs appear. Gently incorporate shredded cheese. Blend in buttermilk just until the mixture is damp (some dry areas are acceptable – overmixing will make the biscuits tough). 

Place the biscuits onto a baking sheet that is either greased or lined. Cook for 12-14 minutes, until they are golden and browned. 

As the biscuits bake, mix three tablespoons of melted butter, 1/4 teaspoon of dried parsley flakes, 3/4 teaspoon of garlic powder, and a dash of salt in a small bowl. As soon as the biscuits exit the oven, evenly apply the butter/herb blend over the biscuits. Serve right away. Chill. Savor it!

Cheese cracker appetizer recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).

In a large bowl, cream together the cheddar cheese and butter until smooth.

In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, salt, cayenne pepper, and smoked paprika.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the cheese mixture, mixing until a smooth dough forms.

Roll the dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.

Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Flatten each ball with a fork, making a crisscross pattern on top.

Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crackers are golden brown.

2 stacks Saltine Crackers
1 (8 oz.) bundle sharp, ground cheddar
1/2 stick softened margarine
cayenne pepper, to taste

Starter Recipes INSTRUCTIONS:
Brush saltines with liquefied spread and orchestrate in a solitary layer on treat sheets. Sprinkle ground cheddar over saltines and sprinkle cayenne over cheddar.
Place under grill just until effervescent. Try not to let saltines brown excessively. Eliminate from broiler. Re-set broiler to 180°F and return saltines to stove to (or food dehydrator) and heat for 8 hours.
Keep in firmly shut compartment or freeze them.The canapé recipe of cheddar wafers is prepared to serve..enjoy the tidbits !

* 1/4 cup minced roasted red pepper

INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPETIZER RECIPE
Combine all ingredients in a pie plate or shallow 1-quart baking dish; spread out. Bake for 30 minutes at 350°F. Serve cold or warm for about 10 minutes in a 350° oven. If you reheat the dip in the microwave, it may separate. The delicious appetizer recipe is now ready to serve...Nice taste !
